c.Stocks: government subsidies provide fictitious market for industry; stock prices increase; industry attempts to re-purchase stock creating inflating stock prices; stocks are allowed to be bought on "margin"; industry fails to invest in research and development, consequently consumers' purchasing slows down; subsequent layoffs contribute to downward spiral in economy.
d. Farmers plight: Mechanization, increased farm lands, world surplus produces over supply of farm produce which leads to decrease in prices; Farmers cannot pay out loans, hence, foreclosure occurs. Farmers do not have capital to purchase heavy equipment so heavy industry is effected
