Apply Masonry to Your Life

For those brothers and sisters who are already fortunate enough to be acting on the square I say may the GAOTU bless and keep you. I challenge all of you to make yourself and your lodges and chapters better. The beauty of our degrees when done correctly cannot be denied. Brothers, practice the first three degrees in your life daily. Keep the working tools in your hand and not in your "toolbox". Use what talents you have to become a better father, husband, brother, and son. The tools that we have serve a purpose. It is not for memory work alone. What good is it to know the ritual word for word and yet live a less than desirable life? Sisters, follow the lead of what I like to refer to as the "Fabulous Five". Take their examples and apply them to your life. When things get rough, just think of what some of the heroines had to overcome. Each heroine is a stage that you will encounter at one point of your life. Lean on your sisters for support and always take it to the GAOTU in prayer!!!! Some say that masonry is on the decline. I don't think so. What do we want as an organization? Do we want large numbers or a few quality members? Let your light shine and the craft will grow. Hide your light and no one will know!!!!
