As
there was a KSN freight ahead of us struggling to clear the stretch with some gradient we
were stopped at Bhongir. A view of the Bhongir station from the far end of the platform
with the train on the through line. |

|
A
good side view of the majestic WAP4. Not many WAP4s have undergone a livery change except
possibly the ones that haul the Shatabdi. A few WAPs on the SR have now got the ivory-dark
blue livery. Notice that, between the region where the front and rear axles are located
there is a small fold of the main bogie i.e just below the region where the number is
painted. This fold is absent in the newer 223xx WAP4s and its just one straight line. |

Majesty
personified !!! A frontal view of the WAP4. U can see the assistant, on the left of the
loco, performing his routine checks on the loco. |

|
This
snap of the Bhongir Fort was a request from the driver of the loco. It sure is a marvelous
sight from the train. Bhongir's original name was "Bhuvanagiri". |

|
All of us have seen the loco on a curve from behind. Now, for a
change see the train from the loco on a curve !! Some adventure photography this..... we
were doing 100kmph at that time, it gave me a real chill down my spine when i popped out
my head with the camera. |

|
hey
hey hey !!! how many of u had assumed that this was a snap of the "wonderful"
landscape that passed by us on our journey.........did any one of u............
You were partially correct, it was a
double purpose photograph. On the far side the landscape was pleasant but did u notice the
debris next to the track. This was where the Godavari Express derailed. We were moving at
20kmph here. |
 |
We are almost back to where we started that morning. The Guntur bound
Palnad Exp. is getting ready to depart. The orange-blue WDM2 from the Guntakal shed is
seen taking charge of the train. |
