ABI'S HOMEPAGE

Welcome to the next stage of your tour.  I'm Abi.  If you've been in my nightclub, you've probably seen me:  the short, effeminate-looking "foreigner"?  A little more foreign than you first thought, eh?

My contribution to the educational circle is a discussion of velyr social habits and entertainments.  Why don't you sit down while we chat.  I'll get the bartender to fix you something.

Velyr are social beings, as you've already learned.  Our idea of entertainment, however, is a bit different from yours. Spectator sports are virtually unknown among velyr. It's not considered fun unless you do it yourself.

The only exception to this rule is the mental net, which will be explained in the next link.  Of course, on the net, it seems as though you are living whatever memory you access.

Velyr enjoy all sorts of games, especially team sports.  We're quite physical, and a game of football here at Darksyde is likely to get a bit bloody.  Since we heal faster than you do, we don't worry as much about minor injuries. Clawing the quarterback isn't considered poor form when we play.

Velyr spend more time doing what humans would call "socializing" - when you've got more time to spend, you make the most of it.  Even while working, we take time to touch, talk, and play - we find it keeps our productivity high.  Velyr workers average 15 to 18 hour days, unless they're working overtime.

After work, velyr like to go where the crowds are.  You're likely to spot us at nightclubs, like this one.  We also enjoy music, so concerts are a big draw. Keep your eyes open next time you're partying.  If you see a small, dark "foreigner" count the fingers.
