There Old Vainamoinen,
played a night, played a day.
Wasn't any male or female,
wasn't the toughest of man,
wasn't girl, wasn't boy,
wasn't spirit of the earth,
who couldn't help weeping,
whose heart didn't melt for the tune.
That is a little translation from the poet of Vainamoinen and his harp. So he played the softest tunes. The most beautifull music ever played. Gods of the nature raised to hear him, fishes crawled on the ground to get near that music. There was no one who could understand that beauty, and that music and chanting raised Vainamoinen to a semigod. to be egual with all the great spirits and be friend with the gods of the nature.
The next evening the party continued the journey, and at night, they came to Pohjola. They were welcomed to visit, but when Louhi heard that they had come to ask her to share sampo with Kalevala, she became mad and drove the group out of the castle. Then Vainamoinen started to play again, this time making the whole Pohjola pass out into a sweet sleep. And while they were sleeping, it wasn't hard to steal Sampo from the chambers under the Pohjola castle. They brought the treasure into the boat and quikly started to sail away, when people in Pohjola were waking up...
They were far on the sea when they saw the warboats of Pohjola coming after them, Louhi herself on the bow. Vainamoinen tried to keep the men rowing fast, but Louhi chanted a mist to raise and soon they were lost on the sea. It took some time for Vainamoinen to cast a spell to clear the air around, and when he did this, and when the mist faded away, he noticed that Louhi had made another spell to slow their escape. A great storm hit them, taking few of the men over the board drownign them into the sea. Vaino took his harp and started to play to make the wind calm, but when he was to succeed, the last big wawe flashed on him and his fine harp slipped from his hands, disappearing within the wawe.
And again, Louhi got something in her mind when the storm was gone. She summoned Iku-Turso, great waterdemon to crush the boat and eat Kalevala people.
Vainamoinen talked to the demon and as demons got their own will, even they have to come if summoned, Iku-Turso returned back to the sea without harming the great wisard and his group. Still, Louhi had succeeded to slow Vaino's boat so that her own was about to reach them. Then Vainamoinen casted a mighty spell that took rest of his powers and raised the ground from under the water. To those rocks  Pohjola's boat crashed.
