From what I've heard it's organised by Pieter
from Café the Crash. The Crash is 10 years
old so I guess it's some kind of anniversary thing. There's a big party
planned and it starts at 4 o'clock but I have no idea yet when the first of 4
bands starts.

Na
een pauze waarin vooral veel gedronken werd, was het de beurt aan Habanero.
Deze band bleek een
zijproject te zijn van de mannen van Nahende Vernichtung, dé Brugse
corepunkband v
an het ogenblik, en dát was
eraan te horen ! Ze hadden voor de gelegenheid een extra gitarist meegebracht
waardoor hun sound voller
klonk dan gewoonlijk. De set hield het midden tussen hardcore & punk mét
brulstem : lekker lekker !
Even werd opgemerkt door
één van de omstaanders dat MAG's hardcorelover Urbain Alpain blij mocht
zijn dat
hij niet aanwezig
was, want dat z'n kritiek op het genre tot in Oostende op veel hardcoregebrom
had kunnen rekenen.
Ik slikte even en hield m'n
pen met een zo open mogelijk vizier ter hand. De set vloeide naar het einde
toe over in
onvervalste punk, maar dan
wel re-te-strak gespeeld. Zŕlig gewoon. Lekker meeschudden op songs van
AC/DC, Discharge,
Exploited terwijl de geur van verschaald bier en véél te veel sigaretten
rond je hangt :
wat heeft een mens nog meer
nodig om zich te amuseren? Habanero zou een kortstondig project zijn,
maar ik zou er alleszins
niet rouwig om zijn mochten de Habanero's beslissen om dit zijproject gewoon
verder op de sporen te
houden !

it might be our last
habanero show. We're pretty busy with Nahende Vernichtung and some of us have
jobs so there isn't

is when we play at The Fox in Torhout. Other bands are

I'll be there on all three occasions taking snaps to perk up the website so make

your father if you come down. Also don't be scared to show up if you've got a

the motherfucker
into a nice looking red strawberry. Oh yeah!!! For the people who didn't know.
Ward's baby brother

bit dissapointing is that we had to turn down an offer to do a mini-tour
in Germany and also to go and play

the famous Yellow Dog festival this summer. Some of us just can't make it this
time so ... sorry to
Laurel and Sven (Yellow Dog) and also
sorry and thanks to Wahnfried and Mike for wasting their time on us.

Hi, you ladies and gents. believe it or not, we're finally
back. yeah, we've been through a rough patch
because as you know
Willie was in an accident with his bikie and broke his elbow on several places.
We all expected the
healing process to last only a few months but due to some complications it took
8 months to recover.
Another problem was Nico who decided to leave the band but
we found a new bassplayer who goes by
the name of Pablo (oldest son of Martin-member of the now
legendary Belgian punkband "Anarchists on Dope",
later under the name
"Jeugd van Tegenwoordig") to fill in and found us very lucky he wanted to stay
with us permanently. He's fucking awesome!!! We've been
practising for a few months now and are ready
to start playing gigs again.
Also we recorded a number of new songs but we're not pleased with the endresult.
Something went wrong
in the mix and mastering so that means we have two options now, try to remix
them or
just re-record them in another studio. More about this later.
Anyway, our first show is on
friday July 25 on the "EAT
SHIT" festival at the squat K13 in Ghent.

JULY 14th '01 : Hey, this is not really news but I was
thinking about to say hi and thank you
to all the people we met on tour but I've
given up after a week of trying to remember all of them.
Well, I can say "Thanks so
much" to Laurel from Yellow dog who set the whole
thing up.
Without him there wouldn't have been a tour.
And to Ballo who organised the festival in Hemsbunde
