Rune Formulas

Multiple Runes can be used to create different formulas for something you may wish to achieve, or energy you may wish to attract or use in moving toward a specific purpose.

For example, if you wanted to create a magical formula for overcoming a present obstacle that you feel you’ve been resisting, and to come to an understanding of what lies beneath the resistance, you might include Raidho; the Rune of ordered change and progress . You can use multiple symbols of the same rune, or choose different runes to make up a formula.

If you used Raidho written three times, the rune count then would be 3. If you used 2 other runes with Raidho, the count would still be three. The Rune Count is the number of Runes used in the formula, and Brings in the power of the rune of that number. The 3rd Rune is Thurisaz, so a 3 rune combination would bring in the power of Thurisaz , which is a catalyst for change through resistance.

Raidho is the 5th Rune, so writing Raidho three times ; 3 X 5 = 15… The total channels the runic force in a specific direction; and represents the aim of the working. The 15th Rune is Elhaz, Rune of the essential link or connection with patterns of archetypal consciousness channeling runic force into the realms of archetypal awareness in the realm of change through resistance, perhaps to uncover what lies behind the resistance, making change more enduring.

Rune Count: The Total number of Runes in the formula. Represents the Realm of Working and brings in the power of the Rune of that Number

Rune Total: The total of the numerical value of each rune added together. If the value exceeds 24.{the last rune}, then the digits are reduced. Ie..A rune total of 35 would be reduced to 3 + 5 = 8.  8 would be the Rune Total.

Multiples add another layer; modify and direct the overall force of the formula according to its runic nature.

Multiples of 3 are powerful in operations dealing with magical forces on many levels at once.

4 represents the four corners, and is a container of power.

8 and its multiples maintain harmony while
intensifying force

10 and its multiples are potent when the intent is change

12 and its multiples are also potent when change is the intent, but has a more enduring effect
