Vets Care Organization, Pakistan (VCO) has got the status of member league of OIPA ( Organisation Internationale pour la Protection des Animaux), International Organization for Animal Protection. OIPA is a non governmental organization (NGO) affiliated to UN department of Information. This has been confirmed by Massimo Pradella (International Chairman of OIPA) in his letter to Vets Care Orgnaization Pakistan.
Vets Care Organization is pleased to get status of member league of OIPA, which will help to improve the work of VCO for animals welfare & uplift of veterinary profession in Pakistan. VCO is hopeful to promote its stratagies for animal welfare work with the new techniques, methods & different projects with the collaboration with OIPA.

Dr. Rana Shaukat Hussain has completed his one month training on plastination in Medical University Graz (Austria). He will be returning to Pakistan on 15th August 2006. His training was supported by International Association Against Painful Experiments on Animals (IAAPEA). This training is a part of project, which VCO is going to launch in Pakistan with the collaborations of the IAAPEA for the use of plastination technique in roder to preserve the animals & dead bodies for long period for study & research purposes. This project will provide an ease to the students & researchers to study different organs & muscle etc... of the animals with out suffering from formalin (conventional technique being used to preserve animals uses the formalin, which is very irritating).
VCO is thankful to IAAPEA for their collaborations.
Earlier, Dr. Rana Hussain has also participated in 13th International Conference on Plastination held last month in Viena (Austria).

Vets Care Organization Pakistan (VCO) is collaborating with World Society for Protecion of Animals (WSPA) to collect 10 million signatures on the petition "ANIMALS MATTER TO ME"
This petition is to be presented to United Nations (UN) to take action for the animal. Please help VCO to help WSPA to get these signatures, if Animals realy matters to you.

Medicine Bank of the Vets Care Organization Pakistan provides the medicine to the needy farmers for their animals. The medicine bank is actively involved in providing the medicine to help the animals. It have provided medicine for the different field days & camps of VCO & also donated the medicine to SPCA & provided the medicines to outdoor & indoor hospitals of UVAS for owners of animals who can?t afford the treatment. Therefore, medicine bank continuously needs for your donations in the form of different medicines & also the cash for purchasing of different medicines. All the readers of this newsletter are requested to co-operate with medicine bank in order to keep it running for the welfare of animals.
