Vets Care Organization arranged 1 day free veterinary treatment camp in village "RATU CHAK" district Narowal. |
|
Vets Care Organization, Pakistan (VCO) engaged in the welfare of animals and uplift of veterinary profession through arranging different seminars, field days, free veterinary treatment camps and other activities. The free veterinary treatment camps have been arranged by VCO at different occasions at different localities in the past which provided free clinical approach to the animals and medicines to the poor farmers which is helpful in the poverty elevation in the rural areas, on the other hand these camps enhance the professional skills of the veterinary students by working in the field and dealing with the farmers. Parasites are major problem in Pakistan, which affects the health of the animal and also reduce the production of the animals also. Therefore, animals are needed to be de-wormed on regular basis to maintain their production and health. Due to the poor financial conditions, the farmers are not able to care for their animals which are very alarming condition for the animal welfare workers and NGO’s. Taking the notices of this alarming condition, VCO conduct the field days and free camps time by time to play its role in the welfare of animals. Continuing its activities, Vets Care Organization organized a free veterinary treatment camp in the "Village Ratu Chak" tehsil Shakar Garh district Narowal on Sunday, 18th of March 2007. The objective of the camp was to highlight the "Importance of de-worming program in the farm animals". The camp was arranged on the eve of "milk competition" organized by the district govt of Narowal. This was second camp of VCO in the same village (Last one was conducted in the same village on 19th of March 2006). More than 30 members of the Vets Care Club, University of Veteirnary & Animal Sciences, Lahore and veterinary doctors of Vets Care Organization Pakistan attended this camp. Dr. Naimat Ali Javed (District Nazim Narowal) inaugurated the camp by administering de-wormer to cattle.
