Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (D.V.M. (UAF), M.Sc. (UAF), Ph.D. (USA)) takes over as new "Patron" of Vets Care Club, UVAS which is working under the patronage of Vets Care Organization Pakistan.
Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha is Dean of "Faculty of Livestock Business Management" at University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore. He is an eminent nutritionist of pakistan. Prof. Dr. T. N. Pasha is president of "Asian Buffalo Association" and Secretary General of "Nutritionist Association of Pakistan (NAP)".
Prof Pasha takes over as patron after the outgoing patron Prof. Dr. H. A. Hashmi who have migrated to United Kingdom. VCO look forward to get benifit from wide experience of Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha. | |
Vets Care Organization celebrated "The World Veterinary Day 2007" |

Under the patronage of Vets Care Organization, Pakistan; Vets Care Club, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore celebrated the “World Veterinary Day 2007” on 28th of April 2007. To mark the day, a seminar on the theme “Celebrate Our Diversity” was organized at the Auditorium Hall, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore on 28th of April 2007 at 11:00 AM. Seminar was presided by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz (Vice Chancellor, UVAS Lahore).
Veterinarians from Public, Private& Military sectors participated in the seminar. Deans, Directors, Chairman’s and large number of faculty members and veterinary students of UVAS Lahore also attended the seminar.
Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (Patron, Vets Care Club), Dr. Mohsin Ali Bhatti (President, Vets Care Organization), Dr. Hammad Bin Rasheed (Chief Organizer, Vets Care Club) and other nominees of Vets Care Organization were also present in this event. Seminar was started with the recitation from The Holy Quran by Mr. Muhammad Asad Ali. The Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (SAW) was presented by Mr. Muhammad Muddassir. President of Vets Care Club, UVAS Mr. Waqas Tahir presented the welcome address on the behalf of the organizing committee.
Mr. Abdul Rehman (General Secretary, Vets Care Club) gave a brief introduction about The World Veterinary Day including its history in the form of a short presentation. He also talked about the history of the Vets Care Organization Pakistan & Vets Care Club, UVAS Lahore. He impressively discussed the role of Vets Care Organization & Vets Care Club in the uplift of veterinary profession in Pakistan. Vets Care Organization Pakistan has the honor to celebrate the World Veterinary Day first time in Pakistan last year on 29th April 2006, says Mr. A. Rehman. After that, the recorded messages of Dr. Jim Edwards & Prof. Dr. Leon Russell were also played, in which they congratulated the Vets Care Organization & Vets Care Club for joining hands with international community in celebrating this prestigious day for our great profession worldwide.
=> Brig. (R) Dr. Muhammad Naeem talked about the veterinarian’s role in military sectors. He told the different aspects of military vets in Pakistan in detail. He talked about several projects started under the Remount Veterinary Farms Corps (RVFC) in Pakistan. => Dr. Syed Sajjad Haider talked about the veterinarian’s role in private especially pharmaceuticals sector. He told the participants about the history of veterinary profession in Pakistan in detail. => Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz (Vice Chancellor, UVAS) impressively talked on the veterinarian’s in public sector, especially in academia and research. He talked about the status of UVAS in veterinary profession being the oldest veterinary institute of Asia (established in 1883). He told that UVAS will continue playing its part to produce quality veterinarians and for the improvement of livestock sector of Pakistan. => Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (Patron, Vets Care Club) presented the “Vote of Thanks”.
