Ok, you guys call me Luning, Victor, Zhang Luning,
Zhanglu, Runing, Zhangru,
maser, hey you, whatever. Anyway,
I'm here and this is my homepage. Welcome.
It really doesn't matter whether
you are a physicist or a chemist if
you're in the field of physical chemistry.
Although I'm registered as a
chemist in
chemistry department, I
work with professor Shen
in
physics department @
UC Berkeley. Our group looks like
this.
"There is a
time for everything". It has been 1.5 years since I came here
from
Fudan University where I got my master
degree in Laser Chemistry Institute.
One year ago, I started to do
research on water here at
Cal.
Water, consisted of two hydrogen
atoms and an oxygen atom in its molecule,
seems to be a
very simple compound. However, our knowledge on the
properties of water is
sarcastically limited and incomplete considering its
simple composition and
ubiquitous presence in nature. This might be a
consequence of the famous
predication in science: Sometimes,
things are just too simple to be understood.
