Winter came. One day Estelle took a car and went for the exhibition of ice figures. It was snowing and took her time to park. While waiting for parking, Estelle wrote ?Andre? on the wet window. After she went out, she took a photo-camera and enjoyed the exhibition. Suddenly she heard someone calling her by name. She turned out and saw? Andre and Dina. They just came to the exhibition. Dina, still being unaware of their relations, was in a good mood when saw Estelle that is why she was not against when Andre decided to go back with Estelle in a car, just having seen only a little part of the exhibition.
?The name?, - Estelle suddenly remembered what she wrote on the window of a car. But it was dark and she stood by her back to the name, then, when Andre and Dina were to sit in a car, Estelle managed to clean the name with her glove. ?What a nice and strange coincidence to meet in such a big crowd?, - Estelle thought. But she was more surprised in some days, when such coincidences were often ? wherever she went, she met Andre, or Andre with Dina. No one knew the explanation. Maybe, it was because they lived not far from each other? Especially strange was one case. Estelle had a visit of her friend, Cami. Cami had to go and Estelle came up to the window to see the weather. She noticed Andre going somewhere. Then she decided to accompany Cami to the tram and then, fast, to go to the opposite direction ? where Andre went, to a big marked, as Estelle thought. What was her surprise when she saw Andre hear tram station! If there is a fate to meet him, - she thought, - one would meet even if to an opposite direction.
She enjoyed him ? she considered his face to be the most handsome, she liked that he was tall, she liked his brown birth-mark on his neck. All he said seemed so clever and with humor to her. Estelle, she did not notice that he was almost all grey-haired without any reason of his young age, he had a very bad eye-site and had to wear hard glasses though they were modern and suited him; he was eating too much sweet and had already a slightly seen belly. Very often his words were too ironic and offensive to people. He was too egoistic and had a lack of morality. But she tried not to pay attention to his faults. She was in love.

Part 4. A Walk.
Andre was without work but that did not make him sad. His parents were helping him, especially his mother who earned rather a lot of money. He also had a younger brother. Andre was taking home papers to work with but in general he was at home doing nothing ? sleeping, watching TV, playing on computer.
One day he decided to go for a job interview to the company which was very familiar to Estelle ? some of her friends were working there. Andre asked her to accompany him there on what Estelle agreed with gladness. But what to do with Dina? Estelle had the solution ? on the day before she told their boss that she had to go to the translation agency in the morning to take the documents. Actually, the documents were at her, but the boss should not know it. This little half-secret allowed Estelle to have some time in the morning to go with Andre and prevent Dina from following them.
They met near Estelle?s house. Usually she did not like much the way to her work ? it seemed to be very long for her, as well as boring. You would understand if you were in a habit of spending one hour in the public transport every day. But it made a great difference when Andre was near her. Fascinated, she found out that they almost came to their destination ? so fast it was while chatting and laughing with him. Estelle was convinced within herself that Andre was the best man she ever met. Her eyes were fixed on him with an evident wonder and a secret admiration. Whatever he said, she was listening attentively hoping to discover something that would help her to know him better and seduce after. Andre apparently was enjoying her company too. He was looking at her with sparkling eyes, he tried to seem clever and was joking to make her laugh.
She came to work in a great mood. Dina, being a bit stupid, but rather of a jealous temper begin to suspect something. Something that made her to be on alert and something that she did not like at all. Especially when she came back home and saw Andre. He was strangely glad, speaking much, giving her attention. Dina pretended that she guessed nothing, asked him some questions about the interview. But Andre was definitely thinking about something else or how else could be explained his eyes expression and a big smile.

Part 5. Alone in a flat.
Dina did not want to go. She felt that she should not leave Andre. She was angry with him and with Estelle. They took the manner to call each other every evening. It was very well understood that Andre and Estelle just invented the reasons to speak. Sometimes Dina was taking the receiver when Estelle was calling. To make her understand that everything was good in their relations, Dina tried to sound very happy, sometimes even try to hint that they were just making love. But it was not right ? Andre preferred to make love at night doing it fast, paying no attention for Dina?s satisfaction. But for sure Estelle did not know that. Paying no attention to Dina, she usually told ? Hello, Dina. Andre is at home? Give him the receiver. Losing the shame, as Dina thought once, Estelle sometimes even did not tell her hello.
Andre was very far from being independent. He needed a woman, mummy-style, to take care of him. Despite of the fact that men leave them for lover-style woman, Dina tried to serve him as obligingly as she could. She cooked for him, washed dishes, ironed clothes, washed clothes by hands (they did not have a washing ? machine), cleaned the flat, even helped him with his work. Dina was often telling him ? how did you put the scarf? You did not forget warm clothes? Did you eat? You are able to do nothing. You need someone to take care of you. No one takes care of you better than me. She tried to instill him that he needed her. She was also afraid that when she would be away, he would take a great liberty with Estelle and what if he were able to manage house-keeping without her?
But Dina had to go. It was long time that she went to her village to see her family. So she went away. Estelle was going home from work. By chance she met Andre at the metro station. She could not believe her eyes ? what a luck, she could spend some time with him without Dina. Andre was in a good humour, he was glad to see Estelle too. They were speaking and speaking till found themselves near Estelle?s house. Among other topics of their chat, Estelle persuaded him to come to her flat next evening. She knew that he was fond of sweet things and promised to prepare something special. She had to give him something really tasty, much better than Dina cooked ? and she knew that Dina was not a great cooker. But Estelle was not going to cook. Next day she went to the best food shop in their city and bought a delicious cake with prunes. She came back earlier from work and began preparations. She was enjoying her clean flat ? she washed it up the day before. Estelle did a hair-made with locks that suited her perfectly. She put on white tight jeans and white-and-green pull-over. She was naked behind it, only bra was slightly seen. She found high heeled shoes as Andre was much taller than she was. What else remained? Make-up. She did it but as close to natural as she could. Estelle had a look on a clock. He should come in some minutes. She looked at the mirror ? and saw there a very pretty young woman, with good taste and measure in everything. Her eyes were full of joy as only the eyes of a woman in love could be.
He rang at the door. As soon as he entered, Estelle guessed that he also spent time for preparation for their meeting. His tart smell of the men?s perfumes was felt.  Blue jeans, light blue  shirt. Elegant black coat. They spent a nice evening together, full of love hints and laugh. He liked the food, he enjoyed Estelle?s company. But despite of all her virtues, he did not make an attempt to kiss her.
Before going home, he invited Estelle to visit him the next day. It was Sunday.
The sun was shining brightly, reflecting from the white snow. Estelle put on new leather trousers, white pull-over and went to see Andre. He was waiting for her near the house. They went in, the lift drove them to the tenth floor. They went out from the lift and went along the narrow corridor, Andre was playing with his keys. ?As  if we are going to make love in the hotel room?, - Estelle thought. They came into the flat.
Andre asked her to have a look in the documents in the computer. And he went to the kitchen to wash the refrigerator as he explained to Estelle. In some minutes he came back and proposed her a glass of an orange juice. Why orange? He saw yesterday at Estelle?s a glass of orange juice which she did not drink to the end. He went away to the kitchen. Estelle was waiting for him rather a long time. Then he came back and they began talking. He was trying to catch her eyes and sometimes they were just looking at each other. Andre laid on the bed, Estelle was sitting on a chair. He was telling that when he was young, he was playing in the theatre at the Institute and in one play they wanted to make him marry. It was evident that he hinted on Dina?s tries.
- And did they manage? ? Estelle asked.
- Yes, after. They put on very nice dresses. ? Andre laughed.
They decided to play together with computer. He put his hand on her fingers, trying to press the key-board. He was definitely seducing and flirting

Strange Love. A Novel.

Part 1. Meeting.

Today boss said ? a new worker will come to our company. It is a woman, she will type the documents from papers to computer most of the time. People in the office smiled and gave ?agree? noise. That boring work took much time and no one wanted to do it though it was not difficult. In some time the new woman entered the room. She was not tall, had not natural yellow hair ? supposed to be blond. Estelle, one of the girls working in the office, felt a pity for her, it is always difficult to be a new person in the company. Estelle decided to help her ? came up, told her hello, showed her new working place - table and computer. The woman smiled, - showing her bad teeth, thanked Estelle. She looked friendly. It turned out that they live not far from each other, so they went home together.
Soon Estelle knew that Dina had one the most important topic ? he (her boy-friend) does not want to marry. She was repeating this phrase many times ? And he does not want to marry. She told Estelle the story of their relations. Estelle was a good psychologist and she noticed at once that Dina had the manner of changing a bit the reality ? she was telling as if the truth but gave some comments or told it under the different point of view, different angle and the plot was changed. Anyway, Estelle got to know that Dina came from the village, from a poor family, but her parents managed to afford Dina to study in the Institution, though she failed the exams on the first year. She entered the Institution next year and there she met Andre. He was a year younger than she was, and behaved like a big child. He came from a town, but was alone in the city where the Institution was. Alone, as well as Dina. She tried to involve him into the relations - first by cooking and inviting him to eat, then giving him the notes he needed? then letting him make sex with her without any responsibilities. Fast Andre understood that the ?friendship? with Dina was very useful for him. Though he never loved her, he was not disgusted and sometimes even liked her. And she was asking nothing instead. Just wanted that he stayed with her. Sometimes he made a kind of experiment ? told her offensive things, for example, that she was stupid. But she made no conclusions. But usually he was also kind to her. When he felt guilty, he told Dina that he loved her, just to make her feel happy. Time passed. They graduated from the Institution and Dina wanted much to marry him. But he refused. He told that he was going to the capital and if she wants, she could go with him, but if no ? she could leave him. Dina looked critically on herself ? not really clever, not tall and not pretty, a bit fat. Sometimes she looked into the mirror trying to find something which could be paid attention at ? short thin hair, not straight nose, bad teeth. Maybe, blue eyes were ok? Other men did not pay attention at her. So she decided to go with him in a hope that still she would make him marry or make a child from him. But he was very careful not to have children.
She was trying to influence him by his parents. She was even calling his mother ? ?mum?, but they told that they were not going to interfere. She felt that they did not really want that Andre married her. So now they were in the capital, looking for a good job.
When Dina ended her story, they came already to the station they needed. They really lived not far from each other. Estelle came home thinking about that new girl. It was strange. Why that boy do not want to marry her? He is too proud of himself or what? He agrees to have sex with her but having no respect for Dina. She is not that bad.
Next day Estelle felt even a pity for Dina. She did not deserve such an attitude.
They were working together. Estelle was dating with a young man, but just to date. She was not loving him, but he asked nothing from her, just a friendship for that moment so they were both enjoying walks and cinemas. Nicolas, such was the name of that young man, was a tall blond, with big head and short hair. He did not look aristocratic at all, besides Estelle never thought that the blonds are her type. They knew each other since school and sometimes, when she decided to break up with him, she felt like twinges a conscience Autumn came. It became darker and darker in the evenings. Cold wind and rain were usual in the city. On one of such days Dina said that she was coming to see her parents. She asked their boss for some days, promising to type some documents at home in the evening. Soon she went away. The next day their boss demanded the papers she took back. As Estelle was the girl with When Dina communicated most, she agreed to call her home and ask her papers. After work she came home and dialed the telephone number to the flat where Dina was living in with a boy-friend, the one who ?does not want to marry?. A young man took the receiver. He found the papers fast and even proposed to bring them to Estelle?s place.
- I wonder how he looks like. Maybe, some village type, who else could date with Dina. Is he really too high opinion of himself?
Someone rang at the door. Estelle went to open, saw a young man and? fell in love. He was standing in front of her ? tall, brown-haired, with clever brown eyes behind modern glasses. The man looked intelligent and? something else was in him ? that Estelle wanted to kiss him at once and even if he would propose to proceed more far than kissing, she would agree, despite of her high moral rights. His long nose was the part which was more put attention at.
Andre gave her the papers, chat a bit ? looking directly into her eyes.
- Oh, she thought. ? If I knew that he was so handsome and sexy, I would wear different clothes.
She had a look at her red sporty home suit.
-  Anyway, at least my face is nice.
She closed the door behind him and smiled.

Part 2. Hard decision.
It is so strange and beautiful to fall in love from the first glance. Estelle never thought that she would experience it. She sat on the sofa and fell into deep thoughts. It turned out that she had two inner voices. One of them was excited, glad, talkative ? I am in love, I love him, really love. I know almost nothing about him, but I don?t care. He is not yet married. He will be mine. He is right not to marry Dina. She is fat and stupid and does not deserve such a man. I imagine how good he is in kissing. Such were the thoughts of one inner voice. But the other told ? are you going to break the couple? They are not married, right, but they live together. Dina is your friend. Who would like her if Andre left her? Nobody except some men from the village.
Estelle did not know what to do. From one part, she knew that it was not good to be the reason of their separation, she did not want to offend Dina. But from another part, she felt that she really loved Andre whatever people think about fast falling in love. Estelle decided to think hard. It took her two weeks to decide on something. But to tell the truth, she had the decision. When she saw him. Struggle. He will be mine. At least, she would seduce him. Now Estelle did not care about Dina ? suddenly, she felt angry towards her. It was jealousy. Estelle wanted to hurt her. Why Dina has the right to stay with him?

Part 3. First step.
Dina did not suspect anything. She came back from her parents? home and was speaking with Estelle as usual.
- I saw Andre, - Estelle told.
- Ok, - smiled Dina.
Estelle was looking at her with big eyes. What, what has he found in her? Did he not feel disgusted to kiss Dina in the mouth with bad teeth, caress her stout body? Some days passed. Estelle decided to contact Andre. She managed to leave the work before Dina and ran home. As soon as she entered the flat, she dialed his telephone number.
- Hello.
- Hello. How are you?
- And Dina is not at home. ? He said. ? Or you do not need her? ? he added a little pause. Estelle understood that he was smiling.
- I do not need her. ? She smiled also. ? You know, I bought a very interesting book, encyclopedia, it is connected with your profession. ? Estelle said the name and the author of a book. ? In case you need, you can take.
- Thank you very much. It is really, ? he said. They told bye and Estelle hang up the receiver.
Some days later she understood that Dina got to know nothing about her call ? she never told about it.
After that call something changed ? as if Andre and Estelle agreed on secret relations. They began calling each other, inventing decent pretexts. Now Andre was in her thoughts every time.
