Gusu Safari Camp is set in 1000 hectares of unfenced private wildlife estate bordering onto Zambezi National Park only 16 kilometres from Victoria Falls village. Characterized by a warm and friendly family atmosphere, you are at all times entertained by your host and guides, a far cry from the sausage machine tourism so prevalent today. Gusu Safari Camp is an exciting and affordable friendly camp to visit. At night you will feel the pulse of wild Africa, a lion roar, a hyaena laughter, an elephant trumpet or nightjar and owl calls. The whole camp is built high on sand dunes affording good views of the surrounding area. In front of the camp there is busy water whole where kudu, buffalo, elephant, impala, warthog, waterbuck, zebra, giraffe and lion come to drink. |

Your accommodation is in individual large twin bedded safari tents under thatched roofs with ensuite toilets and showers with hot and cold water to shower under the stars. The main complex has a comfortable lounge, dinning room and fully stocked bar, all under one thatched roof. Wholesome meals are prepared for your enjoyment, special tastes and diets will always be catered for if adequate warning is given. We offer exciting game walks, following elephant trails and fresh buffalo spoor. For those with an adventurous spirit there are night game drives. Hoping to see your nocturnal species, wrap up in a warm blanket and follow the beam of a powerful spotlight. Springhares, bush babies, and small cats are regularly seen and there is an occasional bonus of hyena, lion or even leopard to be spotted. |
