________________short stories

Short stories be hither.

Some of them (okay, most of them) are not that short as the genre may insinuate, atleast in my case. I get a little carried away, perhaps. Warning, however-- the majority of these stories have an excellerated vocabulary. For you younger readers, trust me, I'm not saying this to mock you with my naturally sick sense of humor. Just, be forewarned, and enjoy.

The "Forge" Cronicles-- [Ch. 1] "Oasis" [Ch. 2] Pyre
Not yet completed, but since I have it up to the public eye, that may persuade me to finish it. When I don't know. Vague overview, about a post-apocolyptic society which mutated in much compliments to the ideas of Linneaus and Darwin about natural selection. Living on scattered large oasises while the rest of earth's land gradually grows more and more desert, legend has it it was because the Gods became jealous of the humans accomplishments and punished them by destroying technology and spurning them back to their original primal nature, the only way to do that was by means of a mass natural disaster to scatter the masses and kill most off. But what would happen if there was something living causing this to continue?

Beating of the Bones
Okay, don't think I'm one of these anime radicals or anything, but I was into the Sailor Moon thing. Yeah, I know, bite my face off. Anyway, I got this idea-- I'm sure a few reading may have known about it, but it's like "what if the utopian society wasn't so utopian and a geurrila group with similar abilities was formed to wipe out the monarchy?" But then I figured, who would be responsible for that? Since this was predominantly Japanese, I figured predominantly irritable Japanese god figures would be to blame, regardless that most of the country was Shintoists. At one period of time, there were mesolithic god icons. Dragons were the ones that maintained the equilibrium on earth (think feng shui) and the Suzaku (pheonix-esque bird) pretty much had the same purpose only it was more engaging of the enemy (meaning it was more aggressive) and so on. Stuff like that. Anyway, this was just something I pulled out of my ass to fill up an assignment check in short fiction, so it's not great, nor relevent, but I like it regardless.

Impulsion
First serious short fiction assignment this year which I thought had some metaphorical depth to it, though I noticed you sort of had to analyze it to "get it". You know how hard it is for artists writing artistic stuff. People just don't "get it". Insert whining emo defecation of the mouth

My World
Story I began writing during my boring script-writing process. It's a classic historical "what-if" scenario complimenting what may have happened had Russia successfully nuked us during the Cold War. It's awfully morbid, so not really for sensitive readers. Has a little overt language, but nothing too offensive.

Novel idea -- [ Ch. 1]
I think this is the first really decent piece of fiction I've ever made. Hurray for me. I'm getting the hang of this thing. maybe all those pamphlets and writing exercises weren't a total waste afterall. I think I might have actually learned something and not known it until I utilized it. ATTENTION-- Due to security reasons and wanting to get this published eventually, this is the only public chapter that will be shown, if at all. If you'd like to read more of it, I'll have to clear you first. May implement a password-entry code later, but right now, e-mail me if you're interested.

Black Pines
One of the only nonfiction pieces that I haven't burned yet. I really hate talking about myself, especially in my writing. It seems so drab to other people-- I know, I read other nonfiction and most of it bores me. Still, in order to explore my inner muse, a nonfiction or two is obligatory.
