Love HIna is the anime of the likes of Tenchi Muyo, only more refined and more loaded with slapstick, mechas, legends and samurais. The story of Love Hina revolves around a fabled promise made by the main protagonist Keitaro Urashima.
Keitaro promised a childhood friend that they will attend Todai (Tokyo University) together. The only problem is, aside from Keitaro forgetting her name, is that Keitaro is a 3rd year hopeful, or more bluntly he has failed the entrance exams for Tokyo U admission more than 3 times.
