Award Winning Garden. At the 2006 San Francisco Flower and Garden Show at the Cow Palace on March 15 - 19, 2006, DJ Curb Appeal's garden creation titled Stone Gardenwas awarded a Silver medal.
Stone Garden is a contemporary, modern and minimalist interpretation of an ancient Chinese asethetic going back to the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907).
Stone and rocks are the essence of qi energy or universal life force. In the West they have been characterized as "rock stars" or "Picasso viewing stones."
The "rock stars" play a prominent role and stand out in a simplified garden. The plantings play a supporting role as they whisper, bend and bow with the wind paying homage to the bones of the world. River rock benches provide respite for contemplation and connection to an ancient aesthetic.

We are interior and landscape designers focusing on Asian styles for the contemporary home. Some of our associates are "cultural historians" who are experts in feng shui, calligraphy and seal making. Others are experts in landscaping, color selection, fabrics and textiles, floor coverings, stone and wood work.
We offer design services with a strong Asian style. The first step is a nominal fee consultation with you to find out what you like or don't like. This can take place at your home or office so we can visualize your space. Our hourly rates are competitive. Call us. We listen. We share. We save you time and money.
