Armed forces took military actions against the racist militiamen near the border between Arizona and Sonora to safeguard their lives against armed attacks of the racist militiamen: in response to this and the efforts of Border Action Network, a human rights NGO,the organization "Ranch Rescue" has cancelled their "Arizona Citizen's Militia Convention."
Ths situation has become particularly tense in the Tohono O'odam Nation, where there is a struggle over providing water for migrants with some O'odam, like the courageous Mike Wilson, defying other O'odam vigilantes in order to make sure life-saving water continues to be available.
We with to make our position clear: we do not support invasion of the Tohono O'odam Nation by armed forces on either side of the border struggle, nor do we support defence of the "false frontier:" ironically, if one looks at the map on the website of the International Sonoran Desert Alliance, a NGO that defends the interests of the Tohono O'odam and the Sonora Desert, one clearly sees that the border cuts through the Pima/O'odam nation.
What we Villistas therefore propose is that the Border Action Network and the International Sonoran Desert Alliance follow the example of Mike Wilson and coordinate their efforts to ensure that the Arizona-Sonora border becomes part of a world in which many worlds fit. This is particularly urgent now that summer is almost upon us, and with it, the border crossing becomes lethal to those exposed to the extreme heat and thirst of the desert.
