The first week of our honeymoon was spent in scenic Quebec City, and we had a fantastic time. No one seemed to mind that our grasp of French was beyond awful, and we felt free to explore everything from Vieux Quebec (the fortified old city) and the area cathedrals to the grocery store at the mall (we went there a number of times, actually). We ate our weight in croissants, cheese and meals at overpriced restaurants, and had a great time doing it.

From there it was on to Moosehead Lake (in Maine), where we enjoyed the great outdoors for as long as we could stand! We weren't so lucky with our animal watching but we managed to spot one moose, one fox and a duck. Oh, and also about two million mosquitoes! Nevertheless, with the burden of the wedding off of our shoulders, we really had fun.
