A friend is a collossal wonder,
A thing of never-ending value,
To loose one would be a blunder,
Without one joys would be few,

A freind is stubborn as a mule,
In helping you to find,
In youre heart a precious jewel,
To see ourselves in another's mind,

A freind is somone to confide in,
A wonderfully trustworthy ally,
With which aid you shall surely win,
Life's travesties with a mere sigh,

A friend never fully gives up on you,
A friendship bond is rarely broken,
No matter what you do,
No matter what words were spoken,

A friend is somone I strive to always be,
A better person than what is expected,
I hope you will always think of me,
Whenever the word "friend" is dissected.
DIssecting a friend
All of these poems I wrote myself and are what I feel and whats motivates me and gives me joy in life.
What is love truly all about?
Why can't we figure it out?
It seems so simple to do,
To just say, "I love you",
It seems in our modern time,
That no one will even spare a dime,
No help comes to those in need,
We just walk on by and let them bleed,
Love is not some prize to be won,
It can be learned by anyone,
Who is willing to go beyond,
This world which we are bond.
Why is it so hard to find joy,
Without having that neat new toy?
When do we confuse what is right,
With things that just seem it might?
It does seem in this day and age,
That it's hard to contain our buring rage,
Unable to stop the endless pain,
It seems only on me does it rain,
Depression, sadness, lost love and hate,
Without these, life we could not appraciate,
For there is no good without the evil,
Hardships are what forges us on Gods anvil,
It is my utmost will to say,
I love you, each and every day.
Forged on Gods anvil
This poem is to my slightly younger brother, who is a good kid but had some ideas I didn't like, so I wrote this about him.
Sometimes I think that you are sick,
To want to hit someone with a brick,
A moped on the freeway would fly,
If a semi-truck on it passed by,
These things are about as funny,
As a fur coat to a bunny,
Life comes and goes in a crazy spurt,
Love always, don't be a squirt,
I see beneath your protecitve layer,
You pretend to act like a player,
Don't forget, even though life is hard,
Life by inch is easier than by yard,
I wish you all of lifes best,
To be better than all of the rest,
So if you use all of your marbles,
You'll straighten out all of lifes garbles,
Remember, he who loves last wins,
Even though he recieves no pins,
Just some advice from your brother,
Will you pass it along to another?
This poem is one I wrote to my youngest brother.  He is a hardcore Utah Jazz fan and tries to not miss a game.  He once told me about how he wanted to be a basketball star when he grew up I was inspired to write this poem.
So you want to be a big star,
And drive around in a fancy car,
To shoot the winning shot,
The last second of the clock,
To have the biggest party of all,
And invite your friends to the mall,
Don't forget while on your high horse,
And have friends like Chuck Norris,
To drop in once and a while,
To share a hug and a smile,
Even though you are so small,
Keep bouncing that basketball,
I think it might seem funny,
Someday mom might ask you for money,
Don't forget to aim for number one,
And don't stop until you are done,
So if that happens on that day,
Will you pass some dough my way?
This poem i wrote to a friend that was kind of sad and I wanted to let her know that I thought of her as a true friend and bought her some comfy slippers for a christmas gift and put them on when I gave her this poem.
has a heart of pure gold.
has a warm shoulder to cry on.
has a caring hand for you to hold.
has a sense of never being truly gone.

has a loyalty of the highest.
has always a kind word to say.
has opinions that are never bias.
has the time for you night or day.

has respect for all living beings.
has appreciation for life's splendor.
has understanding for your feelings.
has you and you her/his helpful mentor.

has patience for constanct teasings.
has the fastest remedy for the blues.
has happiness when you s/he's pleasing.
has been there walking in your shoes.
