A. Set free from demonic
bondages to serve God and man (Lesson
22)
B. Cause of demonic bondages in our personal lives (Lesson
23)
C. Demons enter through sins in our individual life (Lesson
23)
D. Sins in our individual life (Lesson
24)
1. Idolatry and witchcraft.
2. Sexual immorality (Lesson
25)
3. Unforgiveness: a sin that opens a big door to
demonic oppression (Lesson 26)
4. Evil response to rejection by others (Lesson
27,28,29)
5. Evil response when spoilt by parents.
When a child is spoilt by his parents, he is not
trained to differentiate between right and wrong.
When he does wrong as a child, his parents will give in to his evil
demands because they spoil him and give him whatever he wants, instead
of properly teaching him.
Thus, because his parents spoil him, he will develop many evil habits.
Because of this, he is heavily demonized since his
evil habits allow demons to build strongholds in his life as he grows
up.
Later, as he grows up, he will suffer rejection from others socially
because of his evil habits.
As a result, he also develops all the evil habits associated with evil
response to rejection.
(a) Parents who spoil their children destroy them for
life.
God's word declares that parents who spoil their
children are giving their children a death sentence for life (Proverbs
19:18; 23:13-14).
Discipline your son, for in that there is hope;
do not be a willing party to his death.
(Proverbs 19:18)
Do not withhold discipline from a child;
if you punish him with the rod, he will not
die.
Punish him with the rod
and save his soul from death
(Proverbs 23:13-14)
There children will grow up dead spiritually and
socially, without friends and social life, because they have not been
trained by their parents to live in a real world.
This is because spoilt children do not know the difference between
what is right or wrong -- morally, socially and physically.
(b) A spoilt child will have many evil habits in
his life
A spoilt child is one who is not punished when he does
wrong.
In fact, his parents reward him for doing wrong things, instead of
applying the rod on him in discipline.
So he develops many evil habits as he grows up,
because of his evil response when his parents spoil him, including
some of the following:
 |
Throws tantrums, shouts, and yells, in order to
get what he wants, at home or in the supermarket (i.e., uses anger
to get his own way). |
 |
Develops a short temper as he grows up, always
flaring up at the slightest in convenience, even become violent,
at home and at work. |
 |
Grows up as a disobedient child, in church and in
school, since he gets away with whatever wrong he does in his own
house. |
 |
Have destructive habits, such as pulling things
down, upsetting upright things, throwing things about, disrupts
church gatherings with their demands, not willing to enter the
mother's room, spilling water and milk everywhere (cute little
Johnny). |
 |
Does not know what is right or wrong socially or
spiritually since he has never been trained or disciplined by his
parents. |
 |
Expects everyone to please him and do what he
wants, at all times. |
 |
Does not listen to the reasoning and advice of
others, since he never listen to parents at home (i.e., he is
unteachable). |
 |
Is selfish and does not think much of the
interests of others. |
 |
Does not understand the value of money, since he
always get what he wants when he was a child. |
 |
Is not trained to keep himself or the house clean,
since his parents do not want gentle Johnny to dirty his hands
(his parents will have to pamper Johnny for life). |
 |
Is unreliable when assigned duties by others to
complete, at home or at work, as he has not been trained to
shoulder responsibilities as he was growing up. |
 |
Treats all negative responses from others as
personal rejection. |
 |
Runs from job to job because he cannot take the
pressure of meeting the demands of others (he has never been
trained to do so). |
 |
Blames everyone except himself for his misery and
condition when he has grown up, especially blaming his parents,
siblings, church members and office colleagues. |
 |
Loves to torture his parents and siblings and
spouse for making him what he has become. |
(c) A spoilt child cannot function socially with
others.
A spoilt child is not able to function socially, in
the family, the neighborhood, the church or the workplace.
Because of his evil habits and false expectations, he will be rejected
and shunned by others.
He becomes a person who can never stand pressure at
work or in the society, because he always has had his ways at home.
His life will therefore be socially, mentally and spiritually
destroyed, since he does not know how to interact with people who say
"no" to him.
In the end, he will be confined to his own home, where
he will continue to torture his old parents who spoilt him in the
first place.
If someone send up marrying him, the poor wife will be his slave for
life.
If he becomes violent, he will end up in the mad-house.
(d) A spoilt child will suffer the rejection and
mockery of others.
A spoilt child will be despised by others as being
"mama's pet, sissy-pondan, spoilt brat, softie,
etc.," when he interacts with others in the school or in the
office as he grows up.
He will find it difficult to find true friends who can stand his
childish and selfish habits and behavior.
Because of such rejection, he will develop more evil
habits because of his evil response to rejection by others.
(e) A spoilt child can be set free from his evil
habits.
A spoilt child who has turned to Jesus for salvation
can be totally set free from his evil habits and be changed into the
likeness of Jesus.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, he can be transformed into a new man
in Christ.
To be set free, he needs to take the following steps.
There steps are similar to those taken to set ourselves free from evil
habits which have developed as a result of our evil response to
rejection by others (Lesson 29).
(i) Repent of his evil habits.
Repent of all sinful habits and acts
and turn from them.
Repent as he is led by the Holy Spirit concerning any sinful
attitudes, thoughts and acts.
(ii) Forgive his parents for spoiling
him
Forgive his parents for not bringing
him up in a godly way, for not disciplining him when he did wrong as
he was growing up.
Forgive his parents for spoiling him, for encouraging him in his wrong
attitudes and actions.
(iii) Forgive those who have rejected
him
Forgive those who have rejected him and
mocked him for being a spoilt brat, a mama's pet, a sissy-pondan,
etc.
Forgive everyone who has hurt him with their attitudes, remarks and
acts.
(iv) Break the power of the demonic
strongholds in his life, strongholds that bind him to his evil habits.
He must take his authority in Christ
and break the power of every demonic stronghold in his life.
These demonic powers have entered his life because of his evil acts
and habits.
He must drives out these spirits and set himself free
(self-deliverance).
(v) Choose to obey God's word and walk
in righteousness everyday in place of the evil habits in his life.
He must choose to obey God's word and
choose to walk in righteousness everyday.
In place of his evil habits, he must choose to walk in love towards
God and man.
(vi) Live by the power of the Holy
Spirit everyday.
He must live in total dependence on
God's strength and help everyday to live a life of obedience of God's
word.
He must totally rely on the power of the Holy Spirit everyday to live
a life of victory over his past evil habits.
(vii) Thank God everyday for setting
him free and for transforming him into the likeness of Jesus.
By faith, he must thank God everyday
for setting him free from all demonic bondage.
By faith, he must thank God everyday for his victory over all evil
habits.
By faith, he must thank God for the ability to walk in righteousness
everyday.
(viii) Meditate on his position in
Christ everyday.
He must read God's word everyday and
begin to meditate on his new life in Christ.
He must see himself in Christ as God sees him and declare it with his
mouth.
As he does so, his faith arise to believe for all that God has given
to him in Christ.
(f) Prayer to set ourselves free from
demonic oppression that enter our lives because of our evil response
to being spoilt by parents.
Use the following prayer if you desire to set yourself
free.
Use the prayer as often as the need arises, as the Holy Spirit reveals
to you your evil habits that need to be repented of.
STEP1: REPENTANCE
-
Father God, please forgive me for all my evil
habits,
habits which I developed because of my evil response to being
spoilt by parents,
habits which I developed because of my evil response to rejection
by others,
habits which I have opened a door for the entry of demons into my
life.
-
I ask you right now to forgive me for these sins
in my life:
selfishness, caring only for my own needs and not to others,
always wanting only my own way, indifference to the needs and concerns and interests of others.
desire for instant gratification, being demanding of my parents
and others, having a short temper, getting angry easily when I cannot have my
way, shouting, yelling and banging and breaking things to express my
anger,
disrupting other people's meetings and conversations, being impolite to others, being childish in my thinking and
actions, not discerning right from wrong in most situations, foolishness,
doing only what pleases me and not God,
irresponsibility, job-failures, idleness, laziness, silly excuses,
stupidity, uncleanness, reckless living, being spendthrift, having no proper
plans for life, rebellion, self-will, stubbornness, unteachableness.
-
I also forgive all those who have spoilt me in the
past.
I forgive my
father, mother, foster mother and father, grandparents and other
relatives,
for not disciplining me when I did wrong as I was growing up,
for encouraging me and condoning my sins when I did wrong,
for allowing me to throw tantrums so that I always have my own
way,
for not teaching me right from wrong,
for not giving me house-work,
for not teaching me to be responsible for my work,
for allowing me to spend money unwisely and loosely,
for not teaching me to be clean and to be responsible for my
cleanliness,
for allowing me to destroy things and to disrupt other people's
meetings.
-
Father God, I ask You to bless them right now. (Luke
6:27-28)
May they come to know You and Your salvation through Your Son
Jesus.
-
Wash my sins away by the precious blood of Jesus.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. (John 16:23)
STEP 2: DELIVERANCE
-
EVERY SPIRIT OF DARKNESS THAT HAS GAINED ENTRY
INTO MY LIFE
BECAUSE OF MY EVIL RESPONSE WHEN I WAS SPOILT BY MY PARENTS AND BY
OTHERS
I OVERCOME YOU BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS, RIGHT NOW, IN JESUS' NAME.
-
IN JESUS' NAME, I BIND AND BREAK YOU HOLD OVER MY
LIFE, RIGHT NOW.
IN JESUS' NAME, I COMMAND YOU TO LEAVE ME AND NEVER RETURN.
LEAVE WITH EVERY BREATH I BREATHE OUT.
GO, IN JESUS' NAME.
-
SPIRITS OF
SELFISHNESS, INDIFFERENCE TO OTHERS, CHILDISHNESS, SELF-PLEASING,
DEMAND FOR INSTANT GRATIFICATION, UNFAIR DEMANDS UPON OTHERS,
UNRIGHTEOUS ANGER, SHORT TEMPER, SHOUTING, YELLING, SCREAMING,
DESTRUCTION, DISRUPTION, RUDENESS, FOOLISHNESS,
IRRESPONSIBILITY, JOB-FAILURES, IDLENESS, LAZINESS, SILLY EXCUSES,

PARANOIA, INSANITY, MADNESS, ETC.,
YOUR POWER OVER MY LIFE IS NOW BROKEN.
LEAVE ME RIGHT NOW AND NEVER RETURN, IN JESUS' NAME.
STEP3: THANKSGIVING
-
Thank You, Father God, for the victory you have
given to me through the precious blood of Jesus.
Thank You for setting me free from every demonic oppression that
has entered my life because of my evil response to being spoilt by
others.
-
Dear Father, give me Your strength everyday to
always obey you and walk in love towards others in all that I say,
do or think.
Let the power of Your Holy Spirit help me to walk in righteousness
everyday.
-
Thank You Father for transforming me everyday,
from glory to glory, into the likeness of Your Son Jesus Christ.
-
Thank You for Your love to me.
Thanks You for all the good things You have done in my life.
Help me to know and to enjoy more and more of Your love everyday,
so that I may love others with Your love.
-
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Your thought
-
Name one evil habit that you see in children
spoilt by their parents.
How will this habit affect them when they grow up?
-
How do you tell the parents of a spoilt child
that he is disrupting that church service or the Sunday School by
his selfish acts?
How would you discipline such a child in your class?
