Just compare!.
Above, a Regal IV with Crossley (YES !) bodywork for Christchurch, early to mid-fifties. Below, a Swift with Alexander bodaywork of circa 1968.  A decade on at least, a world away in engineering, but still looking out of the same mould. The thing is, the continentals and UK export, were looking far more modern than those destined for domestic operation. We didn't see in the UK designs that were common place over 10 years earlier  in Europe and the rest of the world..

A colour picture of the rare beast, Sabre V8 with E.C.W. coachwork. Could E.C.W. really build something with so many curves, so non-geometric? Beats me, but they did this one. What has happened to ECW now? Do they exist or was this their swan-song too?
