Return to Atkinson 1
Lancashire United may have been the "test bed" for Atkinson along with "North Western".  A similar situation existed between Ribble and Sentinel.

A Burlingham Seagull coach version of the PL 745H
This operator (Burnley Nelson & Colne) was part of the Feathers Group who had at least 11 Atkinson vehicles. Here a Plaxton bodied coach.
This is probably the last passenger vehicle Atkinson exhibited at the Earls Court Motor Show. Registered 787 BTB, it  went to the Feathers Group of Burnley, operators of many Atkinson. This photograph is a Plaxtons publicity shot, showing the Consort coachwork.
