Back to Violette's Corner
But no! A dog has eaten his girl
the one who made his whole wide world
No longer happy, but always sad,
She's the only friend he's ever had.
John wonders how the dog could be so mean
and then the dog turns into the queen.
He yells at her for being rude
and she calls him a strange dude.
But the queen still cannot guess his name
and she has only herself to blame
for John gave her numerous hints
and all she could do was ask for a mint.
But John had no mints to give
and without them the queen couldn't live
so now she popped into abyss
but her stinky breath was never missed.
John was again a lonely man
he wandered the globe from land to land,
oftentimes in a caravan,
searching for someone to hold his hand.
Now Beth who was watching flew up to John,
at first he wondered what was going on,
but then he saw her face and sparkling wings
and the fairy made his heart sing.
But it made Joe sad to see her there
for it made him as jealous as a horse hair.
Beth who saw this felt very sad,
Joe's the best thing she's ever had
(so she didn't want to make him mad).
But Beth just wants to cheer up John,
Joe will understand what's going on,
and besides, in the moonlight, it's him she'll kiss
so this bit of time he will not miss.
But Beth didn't know it was Rachel's job
to erase all of John's sighs and sobs
for it was he whom she loved all along
and she often thinks about him in song.
Well maybe Rachel should speak her mind
and then love from John she may find
(Also maybe John should be named Steve
and then this story I might believe).
Affections for Steve she has no more
since he obviously thinks she's a bore.
No, John is a symbol for someone with that name
And he is too old to feel the same (for Rachel)
Well, our John now is slipping away,
Beth sprinkled pixie dust on hhis head,
Now I think he's done for the day
and he lies down in bed.
The day is done
the moon is out
the fairies have fun
dancing about.
The fireflies flicker,
the stars now shine,
the pixies sprinkle dust
and have a good time.
