Meet Pascal, my pot-belly piglet, born the first week of September, 2003.  I adopted him from Pigs Home n Rome, a pig sanctuary and rescue center located in Rome, Wisconsin.  The sanctuary often has other pigs, babies and adults, that are in need of homes, so please feel free to contact them if you live in the area and think you could care for one of these fantastic animals.  E-mail Carol at PigsHomeNRome@aol.com for more information.

          Many people do not realize what wonderful pets pot-belly pigs can make.  They are extremely loyal, and as affectionate (if not moreso) than your average family dog.  They are intelligent creatures who can be housetrained to use a litter box, go outside, or both.  They like to play, they love toys, and they typically get along well with other household pets.  Pascal and my shepherd dog Jackie often fall asleep pressed up against one another.  All in all, I highly recommend pot-bellies-- they require a lot of attention, but caring for them is relatively easy and very rewarding.
