Analysing the waters of the Great Medicine Spring in Theodore Wirth Park, Minneapolis, 1993. Native Americans came from great distances to drink its waters. By the time this photo was taken, the flow rate had dwindled to just a few drops per minute and it took devotees of the spring forever to fill a plastic gallon jug. There is speculation that the construction of the Highway 100/394 intersection was to blame. The spring never did recover and E.H. Renner & Sons was hired to drill a well at the spot.
