This page is merely an informal listing and discussion on different types of magic.
Wizardry, Elemental Magic, Tri-Elemental Magic, Juggling
Wizardry is explained in its own section.
Elemental Magic is that of warlocks. The four elements are air, earth, fire, and water.
Tri-Elemental magic is mostly attack based. There are 3 elements each with 2 sides and the comination of those elements, also with two sides. The first side is fire, lightning, and ice. Their combination is shadow. The second side is earth, wind, and water. Their combination is prism. Many different mages base their magic on these devides. Black, Gray, and While magic is partially based upon this as black mages are masters of fire, lightning, and ice. This is also a devide in wizardry as well making this sceme particularly universal.
Some combat mages use the tri-elements. One element usually comes the most naturally. The first three are the violent elements, the last three are the peaceful. Fire/ Earth are the most "powerful" and have the greatest displays. Their users never run, their stand strong, are intelligent and motivated. Fire/ Earth stand for defence and offence. Lightning/ Wind stand for freedom. Their users are true warriors at heart. Ice/ Water stands for emotion and balance. These elements have the healing arts.
Jugging is a strange form of magic. It relies on the mastery of opposites. Jugglers are cunning warriors who will switch their defenses throughout a battle and constantly keep their opponents off guard. It is said that those who practice juggling sell their soul to (insert local devil here) thus giving up their mortal life. As a juggler progresses they change shape and slowly become a magical creature. The new guise is white skined, dark haired, with elaborate butterfly like wings, and small horns. Each juggler has different abilitities and no two jugglers look the same. Any individual of an intellegent race can become a juggler, however certain races seem to be favorites.
