I was there during the Matsuri festival, which turns the streets of Kyoto
into a massive street fair. The main attraction is these large, ornate
wooden floats that looks sort of like boats. They stand about 20 feet above
the crowd, so everyone looks up to watch the musicians who lean out from
inside. |
