Rescue / Fostering We are currently cutting back on the number of rescue dogs or fosters we have at one time. If you need help placing your dog and you can keep your dog while a home is found, that is optimal for us. However, we are limiting the dogs we take into our home to Border Collies, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, or Cairn Terriers ONLY. If you do need to surrender your dog immediately, we prefer that either your dog is already altered and up to date on vaccines and licensing, or we will ask you to make a small donation to help us cover those expenses. Dogs do not leave here until they are altered and their vetwork is up to date. Dogs who are mixed with one of the breeds listed above will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. We will not take any dog that is aggressive to people or other dogs. We do foster occasionally on a temporary basis, but usually only for APET Rescue at Edwards AFB, and we can do short transports and home checks as well if a good potential adopter is out of your area.
