Acupuncture defines disease as an uneven distribution of vitality--too much vitality in some functions and too little in others, caused by blockage in the energy system of the body. Examples of overactive functions are stomach cramps, over-active thyroid, muscle spasms; whereas sluggish liver or digestion are sign of under active functions. Acupuncture rebalances body energies, calms the spirit and the mind, re-energises the body and works on all body organs. |
