Hi Steve:  Attached is a photo of Donna and I.  I am busy with my business.  I have a Brokerage business which specializes in Long Term Care Insurance, and that is a hot product these days.  I live in Old Brookville and my kids Maggie (26) and Jared (23), both have businesses and apartments in NYC and are happy and doing very well.  Donna and I spend our fun time on the boat or riding the Harley.  We rode the bike this summer from California to NY... very cool trip.  Hope all is well with you.  (

It's hard to crunch down 35 years to a couple of paragraphs, but I'll give it a try.  I graduated from NYU, and moved immediately to Los Angeles.  I met my husband, Les DeAsis (of 26 years) there.  Portland Oregon is our home since 1990, with our two kids and our business.  We own Benchmade Knife Company and supply our military and law enforcement personnel with knives they can depend their lives on.  Our son Jon just graduated from U of Oregon in December and will probably work in Asia for a while.  Our daughter Melissa is a sophomore Journalism major at U of Oregon.  My husband travels for business often and all over and now that we are empty nesting, I've semi-retired from the day-to-day stuff at work so I can travel with him.
Steve, thanks again for the website!

Sussman, Marsha (posted March 1, 2005)
Jean Horne informs us that Marsha passed away some time ago succumbing to leukemia.  She left behind a husband and two children.  If anyone has further details, please contact Steve Cahn.
A remembrance from Janet Longmore: Marsha Sussman was one of my best friends from 7th through 12th grade.  She lived a short distance away, so we could always walk to each other's homes to spend time talking, riding through the neighborhoods, or exploring at Green Acres Mall.  A number of years ago I got her address and phone number, but lost it soon after in a move.  She seemed very happy when I called her.  Since my separation I've been trying to get in touch with old friends, and Marsha was the first name on my list.  Now I know why I couldn't find her.  The world isn't the same now.  She was a great friend and I regret drifting away from the friends I had in Valley Stream.

Steve… What a hoot reading everyone’s e-mails… You are to be commended for putting this great web site together and updating it so often. I am one of only a few who are registered to go to the reunion… So let’s get on it!!!  I think that the morning of the reunion we should schedule some great hair dressers, tummy tuckers, and wrinkle removers… Actually it will be fun to see how great we all look.. I don’t have much of a bio. I Went to Ithaca College to become nothing like our gym teachers, and have been teaching high school Physical education forever in Red Hook, New York (North of Poughkeepsie, near Woodstock and Rhinebeck). I hope to retire in two years. My Husband is also a P.E. Teacher and athletic director and we have two daughters. Abby is 26 and just got married last year. She attended University of Connecticut and played Division 1 Field Hockey. (She is the jock I never was able to be) She is a Drug dealer for Merck in Boston. My other daughter Becky is 22 and has autism. She lives in a group home close to our home and we see her all the time.. Boy life is never what you expect! I keep in touch with more people from high school  than I thought I would and have great memories of that time.… except that there we no girl’s sports. My students can’t believe that. The only thing about Long Island that I miss is the Beach. Hope to see a lot of you at the reunion.
