Valletta, Sylvia (posted June 5, 2005)
I live in Aiken, SC (going on 16 years now) and work at the Savannah River Site as an Administrative Specialist (whatever they need me to do that no one else wants to do, I do!) I married my second husband, Tim, six years ago – met him at work – he’s a Quality Engineer. We love to travel and go whenever we can – just came back from Hawaii in April. We also love to boat and have a 27-foot Sea Ray Sundancer (with a cabin) and we go out on that once a month, sometimes more often. We usually just take it up and down the Intracoastal since I refuse to go out in the BIG water! I have 2 daughters, Teresa, 30 and Nicole 27. Teresa lives in San Francisco, CA, and is not married but has a significant other, Timothy. Nicole lives in Port Richey, FL is married to Cory and has two sons – Logan, 3 next month and Parker, 6 months. Unfortunately, I do not get to see any of them quite enough to suite me, but I try to zip down to Fl as often as possible. Tim has a daughter and a son – Melissa, 25, and Matt 21. Melissa lives in Greenville, SC and works as a mortgage broker and Matt is in the Air Force in Little Rock, AR. He had a 5 month tour-of-duty in Iraq Last October – February. I’m seriously considering coming to the reunion, but I haven’t had the time to find airfares yet. Plus, I need to decide which airport to fly into, since I want to spend some time with Suzanne and Mark Fitzgibbon while we’re there. Take care and keep in touch. Thanks for all the work you have put into the website – it’s great! (see photo 10) Visichelli, Joe (posted Oct. 1, 2004) "We had a Cross Country Team reunion a few months ago. Steve Cahn couldn't make it, but otherwise, it was fun." --- Joe uses his artistic talents creating personal caricatures and corporate advertising, identity, entertainment and promotional work. (Some things never change . . . !) I never strayed too far from VS--I reside in North Bellmore on L.I. After a 30-year career in NYC, I am now "temporarily and prematurely retired", keepng tabs on and chauffeuring my 16-year old son, who is more popular, successful and confident than either my husband or I were in high school. My last position was as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at the American Association of Advertising Agencies in the Chrysler Building in Manhattan. I resigned after 9/11, as my husband Dennis worked for a law firm on one of the high 50th floors in the south WTC tower when the first plane hit. Thank God, he was one of the lucky ones. But we felt it judicious for one of us to stay close to home after that. The three of us are very active in community theater, and most often put our efforts toward fundraising at our local temple. Dennis produces shows, and both hubby and son are performers; I'm happy to work behind the scenes as stage manager, assistant producer and public relations coordinator. Evan has the lead in the first show of his junior year in high school. A far cry from the wallflower his mother was! If it wasn't for our six-pound chihuahua Penny, I'd be by far the smallest member of the Wagodon household! (Small in stature; not in influence!) Oh, and speaking of pups, is there anyone else who feels our country is 'going to the dogs' under the current White House and congressional/senatorial administrations? My brother Barry (VS South class of ''73) is pursuing his dreams in Australia! |
