NAME: TYPE O NEGATIVE (1990- )
Peter Steele started this band a few years after his previous band,Carnivore, had split ways. Their debut album still echoing the ferocious sounds that had lead Carnivore, but 2 years later, when they released their 2nd classic album, there was a whole new style, sound and feel. Their twisted sense of humour is very evident within their lyrics and approach. Musically always masterful, lyrics full of meaning, this is a band that continues to do what they please and still pleasing their fans.

NAME: TOWNES VAN ZANDT (1944 - 1997)
Once being called the greatest songwriter to come out of Texas and not getting airplay because he was too good for modern radio,Townes, who seems to be like an old friend you know, was a musician/songwriter who was gifted well beyond his years. No matter how depressing or how uplifting his songs may be,his talent with lyrics and his almost heaven-like vocal appraoch always keeps the listener on the edge.  Musically much more powerful beyond its relatively simplistic approach.
