Poetry At BaBa Budan's
BaBa Budan’s is a coffee house near the university of Cincinnati campus. It’s a great place to kick back and relax; comfortable furniture, interesting art hanging, incredible coffees, and an overall artsy atmosphere.

In October 2001 we had a poetry reading there for group writers and an open mic for anyone who wanted to read poetry. Cecelia Shooner and Jim Wilson, artistic husband and wife team, conceived and planned the event that turned out to be one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever done.  Two students from the College Conservatory of Music shared their poetry too.

Below are photographs of some of the readers that evening that were taken by Cindy Bradford. {except for the one of Cindy herself}.:-)

Cindy Bradford's reading was wonderfully expressive, and she evoked a few tears that evening in the rest of us.
Doreen Stenger's work is always unique. She read a favorite of mine,
Under the Trees II.

Powerful and insightful words were delivered by hard-driving  poet Mister Lee
