The name Vulcan's Forge has its root in Roman Mythology. Vulcan, blacksmith of the gods, was the only disabled god on Mt. Olympus. He was ridiculed and humiliated by the other dieties, and relegated to work in the heat, sweat and smoke of the forge as servant to the others crafting their weapons of war. Instead of seeing himself as a victim, however, Vulcan chose to take advatage of the opportunities that presented themselves, and became a highly skilled craftsman and artisan.
Vulcan is symbolic of the psychological alchemy one can experience when being creatively productive within the constructs of both societal and personal limitation; the empowering of Self that moves one from self-negation and inertia to self-worth and productivity.
We'd like to share our works, a bit about ourselves, and our dreams and accomplishments with you. Thanks so much for visiting. We hope you enjoy your stay.
