   Tools helped early man in various ways. Tools are devices used to perform or facilitate manual or mechanical work. Harpoons, knives, saws and hand axes were used for many purposes by ancient man.
    Archeologists found early man's tools in places such as Egypt, England, Europe and Africa. These tools dated back to  about 8000 B.C. Soft metal, antlers, ivory, flint and animal bones were used to make multiple tools. Hand axes were use to cut hides, trees and animal flesh.Tools were decorated with numerous designs. There were many methods for producing tools such as flaking and chipping. Flint knapping was and art, it provided chipped stone tools. 
    Students study early mans tools to learn techniques of producing tools. It is also important to Stone age because it helped them to make daily life easier.
