Shop Updates 3/4/2004
OK, I'm going to bore you and cover you in pictures. Top picture needs some explaining. The last primer job was applied. Doors removes and jambs stripped. The front cap was removed to have the core support sandblaster for paint this coming week. Trunk was removed so jamb could be stripped and dents removed. You have to remember this car did make it to a bone yard so the trunk area was beat up pretty good.
Now I'm still unemployed at this time and I have found this very refreshing working on the car all the time. So at this point the body is pretty close to paint ready. I will talk you thru the other pictures on this page.
All over again 600 block sand was completed in the picture to the right. Still a couple of high spots that are driving me up the wall. I don't know how well your viewer will show this so I added some pictures of the shine after the 600 grit sanding and grey scuff pad washing that had been completed in that particular day. Directly below is the roof skin in primer still but completely sanded and very close to paint ready. It was a cloudy day outside when this picture was taken so bear with me. The other two pictures below the roof are giving examples of the shine that can be seen by the body man (myself in this case). You can see that even in primer a shine can be had and allow you to see if waves are still present. Waves are blocked out of the passenger quarter that keeps showing some high spots.
