First of all, the times listed are my local time in Alaska (which is one hour behind Pacific time--four hours behind Eastern).
The Sox dropped another one.  3-1 was the final score as the Yankees closer Mariano Rivera shut down the Sox.  They swung at some ugly pitches, they let Yankees starter Lieber get the advantage by not taking some pitches.  Work the count guys!  Anyway, the series moves to Fenway for game 3 on Friday.  I still have faith!  The Red Sox are not done competing in this series and I know they will do it well.  If the Red Sox fail to win game 3, I will send $10  to everyone who signs my guestbook a half hour prior to Friday's game start time of 8 pm with the request of "Send me $10!"

Well, last night's game was everything but the final twisting of the blade in this 2004 ALCS.  To the right, Derek Jeter scores the first of many runs against the Red Sox in the first inning of game 3.
As Manny ponders the spanking being handed down by the Yankees, the scoreboard behind him shows the damage that has unfolded.  After flip flopping the leads through the first two, the NY team went on an unmatched tear that finished up at 19-8.
So is it over for the Sox?  Well not until the fat lady sings.  No team has ever come back from being down 0-3 in the best of seven series to win.  So history is up against this year's Sox.  But I've heard rumurs that while the fat lady was warming up her vocal chords, she was abducted and will not be around for game 4 tonight.  If she's been kidnapped by some unruly but hopeful Sox fans, then she cannot be around tonight to sing her song!  Good Luck Boys!
