| About Nia Peeples Nia Peeples was born on December 10, 1961 in Hollywood, California. Nia Peeples is known for her role as Sydney Cooke in the series "Walker, Texas Ranger," as well as "Return to Lonesome Dove," "Fame," "my Name is Kate, "Poople Springs," "Nasty Boys," "Blue Brothers 2000," and more. She recently made her directorial debut recently with the short film "Treading Water." Peeples grew up in West Covina, California whith her parents and two sisters, Paula and Cynnthia. When she was eight years old she began performing with her family, giving concerts for community groups and conventions and doing dances of different cultures. As a recording artist Nia Peeples has achieved two Top 10 pop and club hits, a number-one dance hit and numerous Billboard and Cashbox awards., including Best New Vocalist, Best New Single and Best Video Choreography. Her music has been featured in such films as "License to Kill," and "The Cutting Edge," as well as the tv series "Melrose Place." Peeples lives in Los Angeles, California with her her husband, and her two children. |
