TAILTIU: An Irish earth-goddess and foster mother of Lugh. She was the daughter of a Firbolg ruler and wife to Eochaidh Mac Erc, another Firbolg king. She cleared the forest of Breg so that it became a plain, a task which killed her. The feast of Lughnasadh on August 1st is in honor of her death. __________ TAMESIS: A goddess of fresh waters. Her name survives in the English River Thames and in Tamise, a French name for the Schelde (Scheldt). __________ TEA: Co-founder and protector goddess of the sacred site at Tara along with Tephi. __________ TEPHI: Co-founder and protector goddess of the sacred site at Tara along with Tea. __________ TETHRA: An Irish king of the Fomorians, as well as god of the sea god and otherworld. He was killed in the first battle of Mag Tuireadh. Ever since he rules Mag Mell. __________ |
