| DUBH: A druidess who discovered her husband had another wife and drowned her rival. Her husband then cast at her with his sling and she fell into a pool which was called Dubhlinn or Dublin. The Romans called it Nigratherma – literally the Black Pool, but perhaps a more ancient name for Dublin is Baile Ath Cliath or the Town of the Ford of the Hurdles. __________ |
