| The horizontal slot in the angled piece is where the wires pass through to attach to the voltage regulator, which is fixed in place at the two holes just above the slot. The two bolts on the left hold the air filter. The two forwardmost nuts are where the rear of the gas tank mounts. At the bottom right in this picture you can see where I welded in a diagonal patch; the metal was quite corroded there. The semicircular cutout is there to make room for the ignition switch. |

| The tool box bolts on to the two holes in the flap that is hanging down at the lower right in this picture. This assembly actually comprises two parts; the section that contains the battery is bolted to the bottom part with bolts with countersunk heads. One of these (unpainted) can be seen at the right rear. |
