Before she traded in spelunking for motherhood (baby Sandra is so cute!), Elizabeth hung out "underground" so much, most people thought she was a fugitive. She's done some pretty hardcore stuff, often hiking through the jungle for days to reach a favored destination - and her years of membership with the Sociedad Venezolana de Espeleologia prepared her well to handle a bunch of yahoos like the Wander Women.
Knowing when the good gear sales are has made her the most indispensable and highly respected member of WWMC - and all those who join her caving program are required to bow down in awe whenever she appears. (In the future, if she tires of the groveling, we'll do a simple salute and maybe some sacrificial offerings of cheese).
When not busy rocketing up a rope or explaining to open-mouthed, googly-eyed people how to use an ascender, Elizabeth likes to practice her snake charming skills, design gas stations, and work on her plans to buy out REI next week.
