Again a little slow start but we did stay out late last night. We finally got going and headed back to the internet cafe to check emails. We were especially looking for the one from Chris and Stephanie to make sure they had gotten our email with our information on it. Sure enough they had and would stop in to leave us a message after they arrived later that day.

After internet the primary task was to see the Alcazar. The Alcazar started off as a fort for the Cordoban governors of Sevilla in 913. Over the centuries it has been adapted and enlarged to become a fortress / palace where the current Royalty still reside, on occasion. Some of the likes of Fernando III, Alfonso X, Pedro I, and Fernando and Isabel all resided here at one point in their lives. We toured the palace with the use of audioguides and spent hours just enjoying the many and massive gardens surrounding the palace much less the time taken to enjoy the 18 different areas of the palace along the audioguide tour.

After the Alcazar we headed back to the hostal to check and see if Chris and Stephanie had left us a message. They had not received a message from anyone for us (which we later found out that they had stopped by but the manager did not kow who they were talking about so they didn't take a message.). We had made reservations for the 9:00 pm Flameco show for four so we had hoped that we would still see them a little later. We relaxed in the room for a while until we had to make some decisions. We decided to change our reservations for flamenco until 11:30 pm, both for the fact we hoped to still run into Chris and Stephanie and so we could enjoy a relaxing dinner before seeing the show.

We stopped back into the same restaurant that we had eaten the first night in town (with Jose and where we had met the young ladies from Tawaiin). This gave us an opportunity to enjoy dinner outside while keeping an eye open for Chris and Stephanie. Erin even ran to check e-mails while we waited for our first course to arrive. We enjoyed dinner and even had enough time to return to the room to get dressed up for the show. We headed back out just before 11:00 pm, which is the time they recommended we be there, to get in line for the show. We were one of the few couples and families that took that suggestion, in turn we were rewarded with up front seating. The tickets included one drink and we enjoyed that while we waited for the show to start. The show started a little after 11:30 pm and lasted almost 2 hours. They had 6 individual dancers (4 women and 2 men) each perform and then had a shared dance (as a finale) at the end of the night. We truly enjoyed the show but wished we knew more about the dances and their meaning. We finally crashed out around 2:00 am. A good day overall.
Garden near the entrance into the Alcazar. I am listening to an audioguide which I found to be informative.
