Rules
Here are some basic campaign rules, these are not final:
-Players
Players in the campaign must have a Warhammer 40K army that consists of the compulsory force organization choices. The player must have these models or a fair
representation. Each player is assigned a color, markers of that color, and a starting location on the map.
-Battles
Battles will be fought by all players whose markers meet on a territory on the map. All involved players must determine the type of game to be played (on an agreed upon
method or the mandatory scenario for the territory). The size of the battle will be agreed upon by all involved players. If no conclusion can be reached, the largest army size
possible (in 500 point increments) will be played.
-Battle Turns
The campaign will be played in biweekly “battle turns”. Each “battle turn” consists of “phases” were each player is allowed to perform specific actions. The “battle turn” is
broken down as follows:
Start:
This is the beginning of the new battle turn. Players are allowed to place new army markers down and allowed to add units to their roster.
Communication Phase:
Players are allowed to make alliances, threats, offers, and deals with other players. Players are allowed to exchange territories in a non-hostile manner as well.
Movement Phase:
Players submit a written list of movements for any army markers that have been on the board for more than one battle turn or that have not exchanged places with another
army in the communication phase. These movements are to be kept secret until the GM, who has collected the list of movements, performs the move. Markers are only
allowed to move a marker into an adjacent territory unless otherwise stated.
Combat Phase:
This is where all the battles take place. Territories where 2 or more neutral or hostile army markers are placed will have battles performed by the owners of the markers.
Players may call off attacks at this time.
Combat Resolution:
Calculate victory points for each player. This takes place as soon as a battle is finished. These results are given to the GM for tallying.
End Phase:
This is where all defeated army markers are removed from the map, victory points and experience are finalized, and the turn ends.
-Unit Production
There will be no unit production in the campaign; everyone has a limitless supply of manpower.
-Victory
The winner of the campaign will be the person who takes over the most territories before the campaign ends
-Updates
Updates on every player’s victory points, unit experience, win-loss record, and other information, as well as a copy of the rules, would be posted on:
http://www.oocities.org/darkdm1990/campaign/campaignhome.html (here!!)
An alternate method to reach the site is to go to the main site (www.oocities.org/darkdm1990) and clicking the campaigns link.
-Unit Roster
Every player in the campaign would have to submit a master unit roster to the GM. This is not a limit on the units a player has available to them, but it is to allow
for the GM to track experience for a players unit. Units may be added to the roster when they are complete.
-Armies
Each player must have the compulsory choices on the force organization chart (1 HQ choice and 2 Troop choices). These models should be assembled. Model
representation is allowed at the other players and GM’s discretion. Each player is allowed to use one army in the campaign. A player may only participate with an army
from one codex or its derivatives (such as a Chaos player using a Lost and the Damned army). Allies may be taken as per codex rules. Rules that allow armies to be mixed
(from any GW approved source) supercede the rules stated here.
