The Chinese like nature hikes, and on this special holiday (happy Buddha's Birthday!), the university professors and families had arranged this hiking tour at Tolo Bay, a forty minute bus trip across Kowloon. Most of us walked across the top of the dam, though a few rented pedal carts and were generous enough to share their transportation. At one point, Daddy even helped himself to a bicycle he found "abandoned" on the side of the roadway. He claims that he thought that it had been rented by one of the members of our group, but given that he also asks complete strangers to borrow their cell phones, we suspect that he knew that he was stealing a bicycle but had decided to flout convention.
