.. Watching over Coby .. Mary 03.23.02

After a quickie trip to the mall to get new shoes for the day, I was on my way to Bridget's house, then to Philly to meet Coby Bell and Anthony Ruivivar at NBC10's Fit Fest. So I get to Bridget's, we switch cars, and we're on our way. We got to the Convention Center a little after 12 (We were told that the boys would be there between 12 & 4pm). Get inside and see that there is a nice sized line formed and we get in the back of it after making a quick trip to touch up make-up and hair.

So after a few minutes they come out. They were sitting on high stools and behind a table. (My most LEAST fave way to meet people) I took a few pix while I was in line of them. It was finally our turn and let me tell you, my stomach was doing flips! So Anthony was first and my god he is a VERY good looking man! lol... But he was a sweetheart. He asked us if we were from Philly and we said yea and then told us about his best friend who lives in South Philly and we were talking about different things... like seeds in Lemon Ice... lol. So both Bridget and I got Polaroids (the people that worked there took them) and pix on our cameras. Said our good-byes to him and I got a hug :)

Next was Alison Sweeney from "Days of our Lives" so I got an autograph and photos. Then it was the moment. Coby. I had written down the URL to this site and my email address and I handed it to him as soon as I got up there. And told him about how my site is his only online. He shook my hand and was like "Nice to meet you" and I asked him for a hug. *flutter* He signed a picture for me and we posed for a picture. He promised me he'd visit the site even though he's not good with computers. So let's hope!!! I barely remember anything I said to him cuz I was soo nervous! He shook my hand again when we left and thanked me again for the site and for being such a great fan.

Once my heart stopped doing flips Bridget and I decided to go through the line again. I know how stupid we looked. So Coby saw us in line again and was like "Going for another round?!" I must've been so red cuz I was so embarrassed! So then we got in front of Anthony waiting to go up to him and he's like "You guys are back!" So I asked him to sign an autograph for me to use for a contest for the site and he said sure. So he just wrote "Thanks for watching." Then I asked him to lean forward and I was whispering in his ear asking him if there was any way he could come down so I could get a pic w. him standing up, not behind a table. And he said "Sure just come around" So I went over next to the table and he came out and we got a pic together. *flutter flutter* Security then told us we had to keep moving cuz we were taking to long talking to him.

Next we went over to Coby and I asked him to sign an autograph to give away on the site and he did, writing the same thing as Anthony. (I was so embarrassed cuz I kept calling Anthony 'Carlos' to Coby) After Coby told us that we were "buds" I asked him if I could get a pic w. him standing up. But with security asking us to keep moving there was no way. So he said that if we wait till the end, he'll bring us up to take pix. He told us to just stand next to him. So we did for a lil bit but then wanted to get some drinks. We started to walk away and Coby was like "Wait are you leaving?" And Bridget was like "No we'll be right back" and he was like "Ok just checking."
After walking around a little we went back. When the signing was over Coby came down and took 2 pix with each of us. In one of mine he's giving himself bunny ears... lol. So we had to say our good-byes and he thanked me again for the site and promised he'd look at it. He shook hands with Bridget and then gave me a Hug :) And that was that.
