Waterford Raceway is situated just off the main Waterford Cork road near Dungarvan. It has hosted hot rod racing for over 30 years, It now hosts races for a multitude of vehicles from  1 litre starlets to Honda and XE powered semispace framed hot rods on its tarmac oval track. On Sunday May 10th Round 6 of The Driver Of The Year Championship took event. The lurking clouds left many getting their raincoats ready, but fortunately the rain held off, leaving conditions perfect for a day of fast and fierce racing.The next two championship rounds will take event on Sunday May 31st & Monday June  1st with a never-before-in-Ireland 'Caravan Race' taking place on the Monday evening. Bringing a whole to dimension to towing a caravan, this very special event will guarantee a barrel-full of laughs for both brave competitor and spectator alike! Hope to see you all there!
