"Jessie...god.." My eyes filled up with tears, knowing that this was why she blew a gasket at the contractor and this was why she was working so hard on the house.
"I just wanted you to have a place to write here, baby. I know you do it whenever the mood strikes you, even in the middle of the night..yes I heard you up scribbling in that little chair of mine, trying not to wake me up.." she smiled. "So...." she took a deep breath, "I wanted to give you this... I know it still needs a few things, but you can.."
"Shh..Jessie..." I put my fingers to her lips. "There aren't any words to describe what I am feeling right this minute. Thank you, Jessie..." I couldn't stop the tear that slipped down my cheek. She reached up and wiped it away.
"I love you, Taylor. And I know what your music means to you. I just wanted to make you happy, baby." she said, her own eyes glistening in the soft light.
"You do Jess." I told her and hugged her tightly to me. "I've never been happier in my life than when I am with you."
"Tay.." she breathed and buried her face in my chest. "I'm so glad you're happy..with me..and the room." She looked up at me a huge smile plastered on her face, suddenly. "Jake and Dave didn't think I'd get it finished in time... I think I'm kinda proud of myself."
"How did you find someone to finish it so fast? I heard you fire the one guy.." She gasped in mock dismay and put her hand on her heart.
"Find someone? ME? What are you thinking? Did you not hear me say I could finish it faster MYSELF?" she giggled.
"Jessie! You didn't..did you?" I was floored.
"I most certainly did. I had to have Dave help me carry the tools in and out of here though...that dumbass contractor musta got his license out of a crackerjack box.." she muttered. "It was fun, though Tay. And it means even more for me to give you this because I finished it myself." she smiled.
"You have absolutely no idea how much more it means to me, then." I told her and kissed her, taking a fistful of her hair in my hand and pulling her mouth onto mine, wanting to show her in every way I could, just how much I loved her.
ZAC:

After saying hello to my mother and my younger brother and sisters, my brothers went to their own houses, a weird feeling for me, considering that even when Tay was just staying at Jess', his STUFF was still here. But it was different now. The day after tomorrow he also would be a married man and going home to his wife, insted of coming home, here. Suddenly I needed to see Robin Leigh very badly. I kissed my mom, borrowed keys from my dad, and left heading straight for her apartment. I pulled in the parking lot and went to her door, knocking loudly. "Leigh?" I hollered and knocked when she didn't answer the door right away.
"Zac? Is that you?" she answered the door breathlessly. "Oh my god! It is you!!" she squealed and hugged me tightly around the neck. "Get in here.." she yanked me inside and shut the door. "You said you wouldn't be home till tomorrow.."
"I know baby. Tay had a wild hair..nagged the bus driver till he went insane." I laughed. "Jess has a doctor's appointment in the morning, he didn't want to miss it."
"It's probably a good thing, Zac. Jess is starting to freak herself out over the whole being someone's mother issue. She'll do just fine but she's scaring the hell out of herself.." she laughed. Then I looked up and noticed that Keith was sitting at her small dining room table, scowling. I looked down at Leigh, "Kinda late for you to still need him here isn't it?" I asked, trying not to sound like a jealous jerk, but damn that guy made me nervous.
"I didn't get in till a little while ago, Zac. Jess and I waited to work out until the end of the day. Trying to get ahead a little so I don't get swamped while she's away. I thought it would be nice to at least feed the guy, since he had o sit and wait so long for Jess and I to finish.." she said.
"I guess so..so does that mean you have a few days free next week too? Besides having to teach your classes, I mean..."
"Oh yeah.." she smiled, brightly.  "Jake has the whole gym closed on Saturday, which is cool 'cause all the regulars totally understand, plus Jake has the whole upstairs set aside for the reception, it'll be too hot to have it at your parents..so anyway he gave Lace and me a few days off, too. He and Abbey have some kind of buisness thing going on and when Lace and I come back they're going away...and I'm rambling..." she smiled.
"A little, but I like it.." I told her honestly.
"Hey Keith..I think I am in totally good hands now."  she smiled over at him. "You don't have to hang out here. And sleep in tomorrow..I'm not going to the gym at all. Thanks for staying so late."
Keith slowly got up, without saying a word to me, and looked directly into Leigh's eyes. "I will be here when I'm supposed to be, Leigh. But I'll be outside with Gary. Damn paparazzi should know by now that YOU have nothing to tell them." he muttered.
"You guys REALLY don't need to be here that early, Keith. Zac got to the door withut a problem so that must mean they're giving up on getting anything out of me. But thank you." she said, soothingly. "Goodnight Keith."
"Goodnight Leigh." he gave me one last wierd look and then left. I locked the door behind him and sighed, relieved that he was gone.
"Leigh? Why was he here without the other guy?" I asked.
"I dunno Zac. Except that it was late when Jess and I finally left. Dave and Keith were the ONLY security left. Jake was still there, but he can pretty much handle things..I think they let Gary go home."
"He still gives me the creeps.." I told her.
"Aww Zac. Give the guy a break, he was just being nice and doing his job...do I detect a slight bit of JEALOUSY?" she giggled. "You should know that the only body I WANT guarding mine is YOURS." she grinned.
