JESSIE: I woke up chilly, rolled over to reach for Tay and realized that he wasn't next to me. I lay there a second and heard the sound of the piano downstairs and smiled. I hopped out of bed, threw my robe on and went downstairs. When I looked into his room, I felt like someone hit me in the chest and knocked the wind out of me. He was sitting at the piano, eyes closed and playing something I hadn't heard him play before. I leaned against the doorframe, listening and watching as sunlight streamed through the glass door onto him, making his hair look even more like gold silk than it usually did and his face showed all the emotion he was playing with. My heart was in my throat as I watched, until finally I felt a need to go to him. I slipped up behind him and put my hands on his shoulders, then straddled his hips and sat on the bench behind him as he turned and smiled at me. "Don't stop.." I whispered as I wrapped my arms around his middle and laid my head against his back, when he scooted forward to make room for me. He continued to play for a long time, while I sat like that, as still as I could be. When he finally stopped, he took my hands in his and lifted them to his lips, kissing them softly. "Feel better, baby?" he asked. "Mmm-hmm.." I answered. "That was beautiful, Tay." I told him with my cheek still pressed against his back. "Come here, Jess.." he said softly. I unwrapped myself from him and came around to sit next to him, and he put both his arms around me. I laid my head against his chest and sighed. "You okay?" he kissed the top of my head. "Yeah..just too happy for words.." I snuggled deeper into his chest. "Me too, baby. You about ready to get all the craziness underway? We should be getting over to my mom's pretty soon." he said. "I know, Tay. I just can't wait 'till tomorrow.." I sighed. "Me either, Jess. So let's get going...I can't wait to marry you.." he said softly and kissed me tenderly. "There's nothing I want more, Tay. I had no idea that I could ever be this happy.." I told him, honestly. "I didn't either,Jess. I love you." "I love you, Taylor. Come on, baby.." I smiled up at him, took his hand and stood, pulling him with me. |

"Jess..go on and get dressed, baby. I'll get you something to eat. You are hungry aren't you?" he asked, grinning. "Yeah...thank you. I would have forgotten to eat and then had to have a shake..and I dunno which is worse," I giggled, "You griping at me to eat REAL food, or Jacob's IMPRESSION of you griping at me to eat REAL food." "Hey I resemble that remark.." he chuckled, "long as you're not feeding that fake stuff to my kid constantly. Jake is pretty good at it though, huh?" I nodded and headed up the stairs. "He almost made me choke on the damn thing.." I giggled again over my shoulder. I heard him laugh as I went into the bedroom to get dressed. |

TAYLOR: By the time Jess and I got to my mother's, the place was a madhouse. Everyone was already there, but my mother would not be satisfied until Jess had told her every single detail of her doctor's visit. All the girls pretty much hung on her every word during her retelling, but she really seemed to appreciate my mother's interest most. Meanwhile the men in the room grinned knowingly and tolerantly at each other, until they were finished. Jake and Abbey came in on the tail end of the conversation and the girls all squealed and hugged her, including my mother, ending with Jess planting a huge kiss on Abbey's cheek. "I'm so glad you made time Abbey, it wouldn't have felt right if you weren't here too." I heard her say softly in her ear as she hugged her again. "Okay, so what the heck needs to be done before dinner?" I asked, grinning and rubbing my hands together, making Jess laugh. "You boys need to go pick up your suits," my mother said, taking charge of organizing everyone. "And Mac is going with you.." "Cool, c'mere buddy.." I said hoisting him to my shoulder. "And we girls need to take care of the dresses. Once that is done, Jess and I need to make a couple phone calls and then we can get to moving some of this furniture around so we can rehearse..then we'll have dinner.." my mother finished. My Dad kissed my mom on the cheek, the rest of us kissed our respective mates goodbye, then Zac started in with his eternal goofiness, pulling Mac and the rest of us into a semi football huddle. He gave us an incomprehensible pep talk, and had us clasp hands then screamed, "READY....BREAK!!" We humored him as the girls giggled hysterically, then headed out to get our end of the list done. |

JESSIE: The running around that afternoon wore me out, but I knew I would probably not sleep again until Tay and I were wherever he had decided to take me on our honeymoon. My stomach was all wound up in knots as Diana fussed over me while I tried my dress on again, to make sure we didn't need to get out the toupe tape to keep my neckline in place. My breast were filling out to where even I had to be amazed, and hope that through my next few photo shoots no one would accuse me of having an augmentation done. Wattley and I had a good giggle over that thought. "Oh god you guys..what the heck is wrong with me?" I whined. "My tummy is all wound up and I KNOW it's not morning sickness.." Every single one of them laughed at me, then Diana patted my shoulder. "It's normal Jess, every bride gets nervous even if she knows for sure she's marrying the perfect man..not that I'm predjudiced or anything." she grinned. "It's still ridiculous.." I smiled back. "It's perfect Jessie.." she changed the subject, "I don't think you need the tape. Tay won't be able to breathe, sweetie. You look beautiful. And since the wedding is here in the house you girls can use this room to get ready..I gave the guys the room downstairs." We fussed over all the dresses and then made a huge deal out of Jessica, Avery and Zoe, which they all appreciated, blushing furiously. |
