I put on my locket and my ring amd smoothed my hair down, tucking one side behind my ear. I stepped out of the bathroom and told Taylor, "All set..you ready?" "Wow," he breathed as he turned to me, "you are so beautiful." "Thank you Taylor." I said and smiled, I was actually blushing. He chuckled and pulled me to him. "C'mon, Jessie. Let's get out of this room before we never leave it." He kissed me sweetly. There was a loud pound on the door. "HEY! Are you guys coming out of there or not?" Zac hollered. I grinned at Taylor and flung the door open. "What do you think, you huge pain in my ass?" I asked, my hand on my hip and trying not to laugh. Taylor did laugh as Zac stopped short and looked intently at me. "Good lord Jess! No wonder he never lets you out of the bedroom..you look gorgeous." he said. "Thank you Zac. That almost makes up for your constant torture.." I teased. "You don't look so bad yourself.." He actaully had on brown leather pants and a shiny chocolate colored t-shirt with brown leather shoes. He and Zac both laughed and the others looked at us like we'd lost out minds. We piled into the elevator and went down to the lobby to meet Watts. |
| She looked fabulous. She had taken her hair down and left it wavy and kind of piecey around her face. She had on a short purple slipdress and sandals to match. Zac took one look at her and I kicked his heel to shake him into reality. "Hi... you look great." he told her. "Why Thank you Zac.." she said in a mock southern drawl and I giggled. He was going to be putty in her hands tonight. Jake looked really good, no woman would be able to resist him either. I looked at Ike and Lacey. They both looked stunning, Ike wearing brown and Lacey wearing a gold slipdress, a tad bit longer than the ones Watts and I wore and gold sandals. |
| Lacey had her hair half up, the rest falling to her shoulders. She had on light gold lipstick and gold powder dusted on her shoulders. We heard the front door open and I saw Jake's huge grin. I turned my head to see a stunning brunette walking through the door. She had midlength wavy hair with a few gold highlights in front. She wore a short black flippy skirt and a black spaghetti strap top with sandals to match. Jake strode toward her and kissed her on the cheek. As she came closer I knew immediately who she was. "Abbey! Oh my god..it's been forever! How are you?" I exclaimed. "Hi Jessie. It's good to see you again." she smiled and hugged me. She had been in most of my classes until I went to the night program so I could work when my grandmother got sick. We went out for cheerleading together, but she was cut. She made the squad the next year, after I was gone. She was a really nice person. "Congratulations are in order I hear, in more ways than one." she said. "Thank you Abbey." I said and stepped back to let Jake make the introductions. He did that quite smoothly, I thought. Then Jake went outside and hailed a couple of cabs so Tay and his brothers didn't have to stand out on the street and take a chance on being mobbed. It was still early and the younger fans were known to grab hair and clothing and just be violent. Zac, Watts, Lacey and Ike jumped in the first cab and then the rest of us followed in the other one. When we arrived at out destination, we wound up having to stand outside longer than we had planned. I thought I saw Liz Jackson on the other side of the crowd, but I couldn't be sure. So I turned back to Taylor and took his hand. After a minute I heard a loud shout that contained Taylor's name. A huge mob of teenaged girls came screaming right at us. Taylor looked at me, unsure of what to do. "Jake..get the guys INSIDE NOW!!" I yelled and grabbed Lacey. "Watts! get Abbey and get her in NOW!!" I yelled. Watts took Abbey's hand and yanked her quickly inside right behind Jake who was pushing a path for Tay and his brothers. Zac looked like a deer in headlights. Shit! Taylor looked back at me and I yelled at him. "Grab Zac and GO!!" He did what I told him and I grabbed Lacey around the shoulders and pushed my way through the crowd at the door, yanking her in just before the crush of teenagers came. I spun her to look at me as the doors closed behind us. She was white as a sheet. I shook her into looking at me. "Lacey! It's okay..look around." I told her. She let out a deep breath and started to shake. I hugged her. "Lacey, shh.. it's okay see? here's Ike...he's fine and so are you.' I handed her to Ike who held her tightly for a long moment. She seemed to calm down as Jake said, "I'll get us a table and some drinks.." Taylor came to me then and hugged me. "You never cease to amaze me.." he said in my ear and kissed my cheek. "Have I told you how much I love you lately?" he smiled. "Yeah, but I can't hear it enough.." I smiled back. "I love you Jess." he said. "I love you, Tay. But I think I need a drink.." I grinned. "Me too." he grinned back and led me to the table that Jake had gotten for us. We sat for a while and Ike kept one hand on Lacey's shoulder until she had had a couple of drinks. It turned out to be quite a fun evening after all. |
